Transglobal Business Group Inc. began as Skilled Learning Inc. in Northern British Columbia in the spring of 2004 and then relocated to Nanaimo, British Columbia. As the President, Judy Michaud has worked with children, youth, and adults in communities throughout northern British Columbia for over two decades.

It was with the help of teachers, and others who believe in the need for essential life skills, that the Lifeskills, Employment and business program began to take shape. The foundation program was designed to help Aboriginal  youth and adult learners overcome problems and barriers they may have towards employment and business success. Identifying a need for a comprehensive program with basic life skills, that students could learn easily and take with them throughout their education and career development, was the beginning of the project.

This program is designed for people who:
  • have either been out of school for some time
  • have been unable to attract work in their area
  • are unsure of where they want to go in their life
  • believe they just don’t know how to learn

LEBP has been delivered to various Aboriginal Bands, and in the form of individual workshops to other businesses. The success of this project has been outstanding. Adults from the ages of 16 to 80 have attended. The drop out rate is lower than 10%, and participants have rated this project very high on their evaluations.

LEBP has also been accepted as 4 credits towards the CAPPA12 Adult Dogwood Diploma through continuing education in Prince George. In order to get these credits LEBP is measured with goals, testing and milestones for the students. All textbooks are written in easy simple grade 5 English to ensure the success of all who participate.

Our goal at Transglobal Business Group Inc.  is to Build A Strong Foundation of life skills within each and every student, and many other foundational skills that the student can rely on throughout their lifetime.
